A little bit about Jan

My Story

I was born in London and have lived in the beautiful Peak District for many years. I am a mother of three daughters and grandmother to six grandchildren, all living within the same village — something I feel incredibly grateful

I live with my Husband, Cat Arthur and my chickens.

But my life has not always been so peaceful.

My journey has taken me through addiction, homelessness, sexual and mental abuse, rape, kidnapping and being disowned by family. I have known what it is to live on the streets of London and to find my way through some very dark places.

I don't share this for sympathy, but because these experiences have shaped the woman and practitioner I am today.

Over the last 40 years, I have slowly built myself, my knowledge and my practice. Alongside my own healing, I have spent many years studying natural medicine, energy healing, spirituality, plant wisdom and the many different ways we can find our way back to ourselves.

My experiences have taught me compassion without judgement. They have given me a deep understanding that everyone's story is different, and that sometimes we need a safe place to be heard, seen and accepted exactly as we are.

I don't believe I have all the answers, nor do I believe that anyone needs fixing.

I simply offer the wisdom, tools and experience I have gathered along my own path, and a safe, grounded space in which you can explore yours.

From the streets of London to my little corner of the Peak District, my life has been a journey of becoming.

And perhaps that is why I understand so deeply that even when life feels broken, there can still be a path forward.

This is the work I have spent my life preparing to do — walking alongside others as they discover their own healing, strength, magic and gifts.
